Novabase to supply STBs to Russia's Akado Telecom
Wednesday, October 1st, 2014Akado Telecom, a cable network operator in the Moscow region, has signed a contract with system integrator AMT Group for the supply of 20,000 set-top boxes. The boxes, manufactured by Portugal’s Novabase, are to be delivered in mid-October.
The new high definition boxes are significantly more energy efficient than previous devices and, with the addition of an external hard disk drive via USB, can be used for personal video recording. The boxes also feature built-in games and an improved user interface.
