2.3 million active smartcards for Italy's TivùSat

ROME — Italian satellite TV platform TivùSat has announced that five and a half years after its launch at the end of July 2009, it now has more than 2.3 million active smart cards in 1.91 million households, representing about 8% of Italian families. During 2014, 275,000 new smartcards were activated and 210,000 new households added.
The pay-as-you-go satellite platform, on Eutelsat at 13° East, offers 68 channels of TV, including some channels in high definition, plus radio stations.
