Thailand to distribute 633,825 more DTV coupons

BANGKOK — According to the National News Bureau of Thailand, the country’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) will distribute a fourth round of digital TV coupons, to homes in Buriram, Surin, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phuket, and Trang province, on January 28, 2015. A total of 633,825 coupons will be available on this occasion.
The coupons can be used to receive a discount on the set-top box that is required to receive Thailand’s digital terrestrial television service, which is currently being rolled-out across the country.
According to the NBTC, 821,943 digital TV coupons from previous distributions have yet to be redeemed.
