Five million STB subsidy coupons used so far in Thailand

BANGKOK — According to Thailand’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC), so far over 5 million subsidy coupons have been used for the purchase of basic or hybrid set-top boxes.
The NBTC has distributed 14 million coupons to date, each worth 690 baht (~$20), in the first phase of its programme to facilitate the transition to digital terrestrial television broadcasting in the country.
