SUWANEE, Ga. and SAN JOSE, Calif. — ARRIS Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARRS) and TiVo Inc. (NASDAQ: TIVO) today announced a partnership to bring the award-winning TiVo experience to ARRIS customers by integrating TiVo software and cloud-based services with ARRIS set-top boxes.
This integration represents an ongoing collaboration between ARRIS and TiVo to offer global service providers a variety of platform options for delivering multiscreen, TV everywhere, and DVR experiences to subscribers. The first product of this collaboration is the DCX3635 Video Gateway with TiVo.
The DCX3635 features 6 video tuners with 8 DOCSIS downstream channels, carries 1TB of onboard storage, and is capable of supporting dual simultaneous HD video transcoding sessions. What it means for consumers is their media, on their terms: the flexibility to enjoy both broadcast and digital TV, virtually anytime and anywhere—with enough storage to record 150 hours of HD programming.
“We’re partnering with ARRIS to give service providers a greater range of choices for delivering the award-winning TiVo experience,” said Tom Elam, Vice President and General Manager of TiVo’s Service Provider Business. “Now, providers can choose ARRIS’s innovative hardware to deliver the signature TiVo service for entertainment, anytime, anywhere, and across a variety of screens. We look forward to collaborating with ARRIS to bring this compelling feature set to more customers around the world.”

We’re excited about the innovative potential that the collaboration between these two companies will bring to the cable television marketplace.”
