MStar Announces Successful Interoperation of HEVC Decoder with ATEME Encoder
MStar Semiconductor, Inc., a leading semiconductor company for TV, set-top-box, display and digital home solutions, today announced that all its chipsets which support the HEVC standard decoder (ISO/IEC 23008-2/ITU-T H.265) have been successfully tested for interoperability with TITAN, ATEME’s high video quality, high density software compression solution. As the trend of 4K contents delivered as HEVC compressed format, consumers can enjoy superior video quality experience consistently with MStar inside HEVC-ready products, either from broadcast, OTT or personal video recorder. With interoperability ready between these two companies of highest share in the head-end encoder and TV/set-top-box chipset markets, it positively promotes Ultra HD content deploy quickly in the coming years.
