Euskaltel plus R Cable adds 37,000 TV RGUs in 2015

BILBAO — Euskaltel has released its Annual accounts and Management Report for the year ended December 31, 2015.

On November 27th, 2015, Euskaltel acquired 100% of the shares in R Cable y Telecomunicaciones Galicia, S.A. Excluding this acquisition, Euskaltel added 7,200 TV subscribers in 2015. R added around 30,000 over the same period. The combined company finished the year with over 250,000 TV subscribers.

In 2015 the company launched a project for the development of a new set-top box. The box is to support 4K resolution pictures as well as other value-added features (OTT, VoD, etc). The decoder is expected to be available in early 2016.
