Liberty Global Selects UXP Systems to Power Digital Identity across European Footprint

  • Innovative User Lifecycle Management Platform to boost engagement with individual users, simplify access to services, and rapidly integrate new services to grow subscriber base

AMSTERDAM, NL — UXP Systems, the leader in powering digital identity for operators, announced today that Liberty Global plc “Liberty Global” (NASDAQ: LBTYA, LBTYB, LBTYK, LILA and LILAK), has selected UXP Systems’ User Lifecycle Management platform to deliver seamless and personalized access to existing and next generation cloud, Over-The-Top (OTT) and connected life services across their pan-European operations.

UXP Systems’ User Lifecycle Management Platform helps operators with digital transformation by powering digital consumer identities, with the ability to create profiles for every household member, enable frictionless access to services, and ensure self-managed privacy for every individual. The platform is implemented above existing legacy systems to keep costs low while fully enabling next generation digital service models.

“We know that today’s users want to engage with us digitally, on their own terms, at a personal level,” said Veenod Kurup, Managing Director & Group CIO at Liberty Global. “UXP Systems’ User Lifecycle Management enables our goal of delivering these personalized experiences through an innovative platform purpose built for managing digital user relationships. With ULM in place, we will be able to provide our users with a seamless experience across multiple Liberty Global services and enable user-based privacy management, all while increasing our ability to rapidly bring new services to market.”

UXP Systems’ User Lifecycle Management platform is an elegant and unique solution that enables operators to transform the way they engage with users of their services and facilitates new business models for OTT, Cloud, and Internet-of-Things (IoT) services. The ULM platform supports multiple engagement and user access models, and provides operators with user insight to enhance the service experience, without the need for expensive and disruptive IT transformations.

“Operators have a tremendous opportunity to transform the experience via digital IDs. They can enable frictionless journeys for users to navigate within and between service offerings, securely delegating access to other members in the household and creating new paradigms to engage with guest and trial users,” explained Ash Kumar, Vice President of Global Sales at UXP Systems. “We are pleased to have been selected by the largest international TV and broadband company in the world, to achieve their vision of providing seamless, next generation, digital experiences across their European markets.”

For Liberty Global, User Lifecycle Management will enable:

  • Simplified and frictionless user journeys standardized across all LGI operating countries
  • Faster time to market for innovative digital services; leveraging existing user journeys for cloud & OTT offerings
  • Deep-linking of the operator identity to downstream services and APIs; enabling more immersive and blended connected life experiences
  • A complete view of every individual that allows both personalization and support for user managed privacy

“Operators continue to strive to put themselves at the centre of their user’s digital life,” said Mark Mortensen, Research Director and Practice Leader at Analysys Mason. “We are seeing more projects like this emerge where operators are focusing on the end-to-end lifecycle of every individual user who consumes a service so they can deliver a more competitive user experience. This approach, centered around digital identity, will be critical for service providers as they plan for the digital future.”
