QSC and ZATTOO TV Solutions agree cooperation: IPTV service as part of “triple play offering” to municipal utility providers

  • White label offering for data, voice and IPTV on fibre optic networks
  • Support with local marketing and customer management

COLOGNE — QSC AG and ZATTOO TV Solutions have agreed a cooperation enabling municipal utility and regional telecommunications providers to market “triple play”, i.e. a combination of IP-based data, voice and TV services. QSC will offer the IPTV services provided by ZATTOO, Europe’s leading IPTV provider with global operations, as a white-label product to municipal utility companies and regional network operators.

“This way, municipal utility providers will be able to offer a one-stop package of internet services, telecommunications services and IPTV”, comments Dietmar Becker, Head of Telecommunications Business Development at QSC AG. “That is interesting to all those municipal utility and regional providers who are currently acting to expand their fibre optic networks to facilitate forward-looking broadband communications for local companies and private households.”

In Ludwigsburg and Marburg, for example, QSC feeds the fibre optic networks with data and voice services and ensures stable operations. This way, local residents and companies receive real broadband internet with current speeds of up to 1,000 Mbit/s.

QSC will also be providing municipal utility companies with a white-label platform enabling them to integrate the network offering into their websites and via which customers can order the services. This platform also handles order and customer relationship management (CRM). For municipal utility companies wishing to offer “triple play” to their customers, IPTV will be an optional component of this platform in future.

TV offering with numerous additional functions

“We are delighted to have convinced QSC AG with our modern IPTV solution. This way, municipal utility companies will be able to offer their own state-of-the-art TV product without having to invest in complex and expensive IPTV technologies themselves. End customers will benefit from around 100 live TV broadcasters in SD and HD, as well as from numerous innovative non-linear functions. They will also have access to leading video-on-demand services such as Maxdome,” comments Gernot Jaeger, Chief Officer for B2B TV Solutions at ZATTOO.
