Mobile 3.0 starts DVB-H broadcasting

MUNICH — On 1 June, the platform operator Mobile 3.0 began its DVB-H mobile TV trial in the four German cities of Hamburg, Munich, Frankfurt and Hanover.

Lessons learnt from this first phase will assist in the final design and roll-out of the commercial mobile TV service, which will launch following the conclusion of the ongoing licensing procedure.

Technical partners in the implementation of the mobile TV trial are MEDIA BROADCAST and Nokia Siemens Networks.
