COSMOTE TV launches OTT service in Greece

COSMOTE TV’s new Over The Top service is commercially available for TVs and portable devices, changing the way we watch content

COSMOTE TV’s new Over Τhe Τop (OTT) COSMOTE TV service, is now commercially available, changing the way users watch TV programs. With the new service, subscribers have access to COSMOTE TV’s premium content (90 digital channels, 16 COSMOTE SPORT, CINEMA and HISTORY channels, exclusive sports and cinematic content, original productions) through personalized recommendations, based on their preferences and habits.

COSMOTE TV’s streaming platform is the first one in Greece and globally among a few that combines on demand with linear and live TV content. Furthermore, for the first time in the Greek market, 4K content is available, through the COSMOTE SPORT 4K channel, broadcasting selected sports events.

The OTT service is available -for new subscribers- through a WiFi Android TV Box, as an application for portable devices (tablets, smartphones) and browser for PCs/laptops and it will soon be available as an app for Smart TVs (e.g. Samsung, LG, Sony).

The streaming service has a fresh menu and friendly user interface, adjustable to all screens, as well as an easier way of content discovery.

Subscribers can create separate profiles e.g. for every family member, while there is also a special kids menu, with a friendly environment and restrictions in content access.

Consumers can subscribe to the OTT service, through plenty of options:

• In combination with COSMOTE Double Play programs, for fully integrated internet, fixed telephony and TV services.
• With one of the 4 COSMOTE TV Over The Top packages, with subscriptions starting from €8/month (Entry Pack, Cinema Pack, Sports Pack, Full Pack) provided with a free Android TV Box.
• With the flexible COSMOTE TV ΟΤΤ Mini Packs[1], provided –without any restrictions- stand-alone or combined (CINEMA PACK, SPORTS PACK, DOCUMENTARIES PACK, KIDS PACK, GREEK CHANNELS PACK), as well as with COSMOTE TV Sports Daily Pass, for a 24-hour access to the COSMOTE SPORT channels.

The new streaming service enables the simultaneous content display in up to two devices. Soon, a download & play offline option will also be available to all portable devices for viewing e.g. a movie or TV series with no Internet access.

The service is available through COSMOTE and GERMANOS stores, 13888 and cosmote.gr, while the COSMOTE TV OTT Mini Packs and Sports Daily Pass will –soon- be available for purchase on MYCOSMOTE app.
