Japan - Ministry budgets ¥220 billion for digital TV transition in 2011

Japan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications is bracing for the nationwide switch to digital terrestrial TV broadcasts over the next three years by spending ¥220 billion on a transition program, ministry officials say.
