Brazil - TVA launches HD set-top box in time for the Olympics
Thursday, July 24th, 2008SÃO PAULO — From this week, Televisão Abril (TVA) subscribers will have the opportunity to watch TV content in high definition. The operator is launching commercially its convergente HD (high definition) decoder along with a package of attractions in the technology.
The launch happens in São Paulo on cable and MMDS (Multichannel Multipoint Distribution System) systems, and equipment can be purchased in 10 installments of R$ 39.90 (~US$ 25).
