DekTec to Launch DVB-T2 Modulator at IBC
Friday, July 25th, 2008HILVERSUM, Netherlands — At IBC 2008, DekTec will showcase the DTC 376-T2, a fully featured DVB-T2 modulator option for DekTec’s expanding range of modulator cards.
With the recent approval of the specification and commencement of transmission trials of DVB-T2, the requirement for compliant products will become a growing necessity to cater for the insatiable appetite for more channels and HDTV than can be handled on existing DVB-T capacity.
The product can serve in applications requiring repeatable DVB-T2 signals for development, production testing, repair and demonstrations of DVB-T2 chips and set-top boxes, professional broadcast products and software applications.
Existing and new users will be pleased that the DTC-376-T2 will be complemented with the highly acclaimed StreamXpress player application used across all DekTec streamer products. Additionally a free-of-charge SDK enables clients wishing to develop custom applications in either Windows or Linux.
Nilesh Mandalia, DekTec’s VP Sales, is confident that DekTec’s strengths in ease of use and affordability will encourage rapid deployment of the new modulation standard to enable developers to bring the next generation of products to market quicker and within budget.
