Macrovision Inks Extended Interactive Program Guide License Agreement with Sony
Wednesday, August 13th, 2008SANTA CLARA — Macrovision Solutions Corporation (NASDAQ: MVSN) announced today that it has extended its multi-year Interactive Program Guide license agreement with Sony Corporation (Tokyo: 6758; NYSE: SNE) for the European market to allow Sony to use Macrovision’s IPG patents in a new product line.
Under the terms of the extended agreement, an interactive program guide (IPG) will be incorporated into PlayTV™, a combined TV tuner and personal video recorder for PLAYSTATION®3, due to be released from Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) later this year.
