KUALA LUMPUR — In line with its vision to be Malaysia’s number one entertainment and streaming destination, Astro has launched the beIN SPORTS CONNECT, iQIYI and TVBAnywhere+ apps on the Ultra Box, allowing customers to stream more LIVE global sporting events and their beloved Asian entertainment including Korean, Chinese and Hong Kong dramas and movies, local favourites and anime all-in-one on their big screen TV starting today.

As the known Home of Sports, Astro is excited to add the beIN SPORTS CONNECT app on the Ultra Box for sports fans, which brings major European football leagues such as the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League LIVE and on-demand in addition to over 3,000 hours of live tennis including the ATP Cup and Laver Cup.

Starting today, customers with a Sports subscription as part of their Astro TV Pack will be able to access all the content on beIN SPORTS CONNECT on the TV screen via the Ultra Box or on the mobile app for an ‘on-the-go’ viewing experience.

iQIYI

As the ‘Home for Asian Entertainment’, iQIYI boasts of stellar line up of C-dramas including Love Like the Galaxy, starring popular talents Wu Lei and Zhao Lusi and iQIYI exclusive local original melodrama starring Fasha Sandra, Afieq Shazwan, and Aidil Aziz, Rampas Cintaku; long time hit Japanese anime series such as One Piece; and catch up on the best local dramas such as 7 Hari Mencintaiku 3, Kerana Aku Isteri Bidaan and Cukup Derita Itu.

Fans of TVB Hong Kong dramas can now stream over 40,000 hours of the biggest Chinese entertainment on the TVBAnywhere+ app on the Ultra Box, in addition to the mobile app. The TVBAnywhere+ app offers an extensive library comprising the latest drama series, variety shows, evergreen classics and unlimited TVB originals such as the crime drama Against Darkness, hilarious variety show Super Trio Returns, supernatural reality show Ghost Bushwhacker and Scoop, an infotainment programme that discusses the talk-of-the-town topics. The app is available to customers on the Chinese Favourites selection as part of their Astro TV Pack.

Simple Steps to Access the New Apps

To access “iQIYI”, “beIN SPORTS CONNECT” or “TVBAnywhere+” on the Ultra Box, press “Home” on the Astro remote control. Under the “Apps” rail, select the app you would like to access (depending on your Astro Pack). Follow the steps on screen to log in using your Astro ID on your mobile device and pair your account to your Ultra Box. Once complete, you’ll have instant access to a library of entertainment filled with all the content you love!
