ZEE5 now available on Astro's Ultra and Ulti boxes

ZEE5 and Viu Now Available on Both Astro Ultra and Ulti Boxes

KUALA LUMPUR — As part of the New Astro Experience, we are excited to welcome ZEE5 and Viu to both the Ultra and Ulti Boxes to bring in more global entertainment to our customers’ homes and devices, expanding the total number of premium streaming apps on our platform to ten. Starting today, Astro customers will be able to access both apps on their big screen TV via the Ultra and Ulti Box or mobile devices for an on-the-go experience.

ZEE5 is the world’s largest platform for South Asian content, offering an extensive array of Bollywood and Kollywood content including original features, movies, best loved TV shows from Zee Network channels, short series and acclaimed plays across 18 languages (12 Indian and 6 International languages) including Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, Punjabi and others, making it a perfect destination for avid fans of Indian and South Asian entertainment.

For exclusive content and an ad-free experience, Astro customers can add on ZEE5 premium to their subscription for only RM10.60/month (RRP RM14.90) to start streaming all their favourite shows such as Tamil drama directed by popular filmmaker R. Kannan, The Great Indian Kitchen; romantic-comedy, Middle Class Love; comedy show, Kanjoos Makhichoos which will be comedian Raju Srivastav’s last movie appearance and United Kacche starring Sunil Grover, Sapna Pabbi and Nikhil Vijay.

Currently, Astro’s premium streaming app line-up includes BBC Player, beIN SPORTS CONNECT, Disney+ Hotstar, HBO GO, iQIYI, Netflix, TVBAnywhere+, Viu, ZEE5 and our own Astro GO app which is complimentary to all customers.

With the addition of Viu on the Ulti Box, all customers with the Ulti Box may start streaming Viu Premium for FREE until 8 June 2023 on their Box, Viu web site or the Viu mobile app and enjoy shows such as Nenek Bongkok Tiga, Taxi Driver 2, The Secret Romantic Guesthouse and Royal Doctor. Simply open the app at the Home Page of your Box and start streaming all your favourite shows.

To access the ‘ZEE5’ app on the Ultra/Ulti Box, press ‘Home’ on the Astro remote control and select the app under the ‘Apps’ rail. Follow the steps on screen to pair your account with your Box by scanning the QR code and logging in to your ZEE5 account. Once complete, you’ll have access to thousands of contents right at your fingertips!
