CESSON-SEVIGNE, France — Broadpeak®, a leading provider of content delivery network (CDN) and video streaming solutions for content providers and pay-TV operators worldwide, today announced Click2, a new interactive advertising feature on its server-side ad insertion (SSAI) solution. As the OTT world’s first interactive advertising technology available to all streaming platforms, Click2 enables viewers to interact with ads as they are watching video streaming services, opening up a new type of ad inventory for video service providers. Leveraging the Click2 feature on Dynamic Ad Insertion service, video service providers can significantly boost viewer engagement and monetization for video streaming services.

Broadpeak’s state-of-the-art Click2 technology boosts the performance of targeted advertising guaranteeing clicks for advertisers. Click2 allows viewers to click directly on banner ads within the video stream on their devices — including connected TVs, smart TVs, and Android TVs. After clicking on the ad, viewers receive a notification or SMS on their phone or other mobile device with information about the product featured in the ad and an opportunity to purchase it. Click2 ensures a premium user experience, allowing viewers to simultaneously keep watching video streaming services while looking at branded products on their companion device.

With Click2, video service providers can start charging for ads per click instead of per impression, opening up additional revenue streams. Click2 makes it easy to create clickable video streaming ads at scale without requiring any work from the advertiser or agency side. Video service providers simply leverage the existing standard instream ad to generate interactive ads. Furthermore, Click2 provides advertisers with performance indicators about the ad, not just impressions, increasing the value of targeted advertising.
