Vereinigte Stadtwerke to launch TV service with Zattoo

  • VS Media IPTV will bring over 130 TV channels in SD and HD quality

BERLIN/ZURICH — Vereinigte Stadtwerke, the successful regional energy network operator, from Bad Oldesloe in Northern Germany will be launching their white-label end-to-end TV service VS Media IPTV with Zattoo. The company joined Swiss Zattoo’s leading European TV-as-a-service platform with to date over 30 mostly white-label end-to-end customers across the continent.

VS Media IPTV will bring over 130 TV channels in SD and HD quality, including 4 foreign language, one Family HD and a Premium HD package to subscribers in the German federal states of Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern via Zattoo’s new Strong HP44H set-top box, Android Mobile, iOS, Web Client and Amazon Fire TV. The service will include non-linear features such as nPVR, Instant Restart, a 7-days catch-up, yet offering different setups per channel, besides 14 FAST channels.

The offering is available in two variants: A basic package, containing live and public TV channels in HD besides private channels in SD in two concurrent streams. Besides this, a premium package will feature non-linear TV options with 10 hours of recording included plus also private channels in HD in up to 5 concurrent streams. Also available are add-on packages, providing 100 or 200 hours of recording, Premium HD, Family HD and additional language packages. In addition, the new TV service will enable subscribers of Vereinigte Stadtwerke to log in securely via serial number to their set-top box and allow the operator to provide them faster and improved service via Zattoo’s Bridge offering.

Zattoo recently presented its current offering at the ANGA COM broadband industry show in Cologne on 23-25 May 2023 and the international media industry show IBC in Amsterdam on 15-18 September 2023.
