CloudTV to extend Smart TV OS to set-top boxes

CloudTV is to extend its Smart TV OS to set-top boxes, Abhijeet Rajpurohit, co-founder and COO, has told the Financial Express. On set-top boxes the OS is targeted at ISPs, DTH operators and MSOs. “In the first quarter of 2025, you will see several brands launching set-top boxes powered by CloudTV OS,” Rajpurohit said.

CloudTV focuses on affordability and localisation, with the OS supporting voice assistance in local languages, making the platform more accessible to users in India. The company is also engaging with international firms to extend the footprint of its OS globally.
