Sibirtelecom Will Provide Protection of TV Content

Sibirtelecom (Sibir’telekom) [Russia: ENCO] has prepared a base for a wide scale launch of digital IP-TV in Siberian Federal District and has solved one of the main tasks of protection of TV and video content. The Company started integration of a centralized system of authorization and management of access to content on the basis of the widely known Verimatrix system.

Verimatrix provides reliable protection of the content from its viewing by non-registered subscribers and excludes its copying and further distribution. The principle of content protection is built on a single system of storage, generation and management of ‘access keys’, as well as on the dedicated access channel to the said system.
