IPTV poised to transform Korea's TV entertainment

Three firms – KT (Korea Telecom), LG Dacom and SK Broadband (Hanaro Telecom) – are licensed to provide IPTV services in Korea. All are making extensive investments in the business over the next five years with real-time broadcasts having begun on January 1, 2009.
The companies are forecasting that Korea will have between 5 and 7 million IPTV subscribers by 2012.
The services are:
KT – ‘Mega TV’
LG Dacom – ‘myLGtv’
SK Broadband – ‘Broad & TV’
