BH Telecom selected Smart Com to build converged IPTV and IP telephony service delivery platform

LJUBLJANA — BH Telecom, the biggest provider of the telecommunication services in Bosnia & Herzegovina is launching converged IP telephony and IPTV services.

BH Telecom selected Smart Com to deliver and integrate a complete converged IPTV and IP telephony service delivery platform based on BeeSmart middleware which is very feature reach, future proof and ensures a safe investment into future. By adding new very attractive and advanced services to its existing service portfolio, BH Telecom will strengthen its position on the market and meet end user’s needs.

At the signing of the contract in the total value of 2,5 mio EUR, BH Telecom presented also their new brand Moja TV (My TV). On this occasion, the General Manager of BH Telecom, Nedzad Residbegovic stressed that “the year 2009 and Moja TV are the turning points in the development of BH Telecom, as well as a complete transformation of the telecommunications market in Bosnia & Herzegovina. Also here we are following our slogan: We go first and give more.”

A completely new service will be introduced in the second quarter of 2009 and is an interactive digital TV in its widest definition. TV screen will become a main gateway to various services and contents. It will let the BH Telecom’s subscribers to watch the most desired TV channels in digital quality, watch movies and other video content on demand, use electronic program guide and network personal video recording, manage voice calls via TV screen, play games and much more.
