Portuguese pay TV market continues to grow

According to Portugal’s Autoridade Nacional de Comunicações (ANACOM), at the end of December 2008 the total number of subscribers to pay TV in the country reached 2.286 million, 75 thousand more than in the previous quarter.
The number is made up of 1.48 million cable TV subscribers, around 600 thousand of which are digital, 590 thousand DTH subscribers and 224 thousand IPTV subscribers
