ANT is extensively deployed into consumer homes worldwide

ANT plc (London: ANTP), the provider of software and services for the delivery of digital TV, today announced at IPTV World Forum, that it has surpassed 10 million units deployed worldwide. The figures reveal that ANT Fresco and ANT Galio are among the most widely deployed IPTV platforms in the world. ANT’s contribution to the industry has been recognised through the shortlisting of the ANT Galio Platform for ‘Best IPTV Service Delivery Platform or Client Software’ at the IPTV World Series Awards 2009.

Some of the largest and most successful IPTV deployments to-date are based on ANT’s software including Chunghwa Telecom, France Telecom, Hansenet and Telecom Italia. ANT has also licensed its software to the leading device manufacturers worldwide including Amino, Cisco Systems, Coship, Daewoo, HwaCom, Hyundai Digital Technology, Pirelli, Sagem, Samsung, and Thomson.

Richard Baker, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, ANT comments: “2008 was a positive year for ANT with deployments exceeding three million units. ANT is well positioned to build on this as the market continues to grow. We’re also extremely pleased with the market response to the launch of ANT Galio 3.0. Since we announced ANT Galio 3.0 in September last year a number of existing customers have migrated to the latest version and new licensees continue to select ANT. Our standards based approach enables more flexibility when developing innovative new applications which are increasingly being requested by operators.”

ANT is exhibiting at the IPTV World Forum which runs 25th – 27th March at Olympia, London at Stand Number 70. Visitors to the stand will see them showcasing a range of new demonstrations including a new theme for their core applications, a range of IP-Active services and a next generation demonstration that explores digital proposition management and much more.

ANT will also be launching the ANT Academy, the applications community for TV with an initial group of members. The ANT Academy has been created to support the development of digital TV applications and services for the set-top box and iDTV markets.
