“This is another important milestone in our relationship with Astro, and I am delighted to welcome this new order,” said Frederic Kurkjian, Senior Vice President Thomson Connect Sales. “It is yet another demonstration of our ability to bring platforms to the market, and we look forward to continuing to work with Astro throughout this project to bring the best DTH Pay TV services and technical quality to its customers, in Malaysia and throughout Asia.”

Thomson has a long and successful relationship with Astro, providing many of its set-top box platforms. The deliveries of the new set-top box, which comes in a new design, are beginning immediately.
