Partnership to deliver new TV services

CAMBRIDGE — Humax Co. Ltd (Kosdaq:028080), one of the world’s largest manufacturers of digital set-top boxes, exporting its products to over 90 countries worldwide, has selected the ANT Galio Platform upon which to build a range of satellite, IPTV and Hybrid set-top boxes. ANT plc (London: ANTP), the provider of software and services for the delivery of digital TV, will deliver long term compatibility to the industry’s fast evolving standards. The new Humax product range, based on ANT Galio Platform, is due to launch by the end of the year in reaction to market demand and will provide consumers with a range of new TV services and an enhanced end-user experience.

The partnership leverages ANT and Humax’s extensive worldwide set-top box deployment experience. ANT’s standards-based environment allows Humax to design and develop a range of new applications, while benefiting from reduced time to market, long term standards compatibility and improved performance.
