Samsung Electronics Selects RMI's High-Performance Power-Optimized Alchemy Au1200 Processor for Newly Announced Devices

SoC Solution from Raza Microelectronics, Inc. Offers Integration Necessary for T-DMB Mobile TV Application and Digital Photo Frame

Las Vegas, NV — Raza Microelectronics, Inc. (RMI Corp.), a leading supplier of processors for communications and consumer applications, today announced that Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., a global leader in semiconductor, telecommunication, digital media and digital convergence technologies (Samsung), has selected the RMI® Alchemy Au1200 Processor from Raza Microelectronics, Inc. for its Digital Media Broadcast Mobile TV (DMB-TV) and for its Windows-Based Digital Photo Frame.

The LMD10A-51W DMB-TV is based on a Linux operating system (O/S) and has a 10″ display with 800 x 480 resolution and supports standard video (WMV, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4 and Xvid). The SPF-71V Digital Photo Frame from Samsung contains a 7″ TFT-LCD screen with 800 x 480 resolution, built-in 802.11g Wi-Fi capability, slots for SD, MMC, MS, and XD Memory Cards. The device has a USB port and supports MP3 for audio, MPEG-1, WMV9, and MPEG-4 for video as well as JPEG, BMP, and GIF for pictures.
