Bis TV Online, France's first P2P Internet TV
Tuesday, January 13th, 2009AB Groupe, publisher of 21 television stations, has launched, for the first time in France, a television service over the Internet, Bis TV Online, using peer-to-peer (P2P) technology.
Developed in partnership with an Israeli start-up RayV, Bis TV Online claims comfortable viewing at a data rate of only 512kbps.
RayV’s technology, RayV Grid, enables TV channels to distribute their content over a network. In parallel, RayV has also developed a proprietary viewer (RayV viewer).
