Motorola ships 3.3 million digital entertainment devices in 3Q09

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT) today reported sales of $5.5 billion in the third quarter of 2009. The GAAP earnings from continuing operations in the third quarter of 2009 were $12 million, or $0.01 per share.
Home and Networks Mobility
Home and Networks Mobility segment sales were $2.0 billion, down 15 percent compared to the year-ago quarter. GAAP operating earnings were $199 million, compared to operating earnings of $263 million in the year-ago quarter.
