Spain - December DTT monthly update released

According to Impulsa-TDT, 957,000 DTT receivers were sold in October, giving a cumulative total for Spain of 23.4 million units.

Based on reporting from TNS Sofres, penetration of DTT in Spanish households was 74.7% in November.

DTT decoders with special functions have so far had limited success in Spain. For example, in the last twelve months only 5,500 DVB-MHP set top boxes and only 20,500 dual tuner receivers were sold.

In October 2009 the total number of DTT PVRs sold reached 134,200 units.
