Company previews new services: Content Discovery, User Generated Content over television and more

(LSE: ORCA), a market pioneer in providing IPTV middleware and applications, will provide a preview demonstration of its new range of next-generation IPTV services, including unique content discovery and user generated content over television, at IBC 2007 in Amsterdam, booth 2.230 from September 7-11, 2007. The advance preview of Orca’s new product offerings reflect the company’s focus on introduction of cutting-edge innovations to its proven RiGHTv IPTV middleware platform, that will help IPTV service providers gain a competitive edge and drive subscriber growth.

Orca Interactive will exhibit its latest innovations and bring alive the IPTV user experience designed to revolutionize the way people consume television content. Visitors will get the chance to experience the future of IPTV services, such as Content Discovery, User Generated Content, converged mobile and IPTV services and much more.

Demonstrations include Orca Interactive’s groundbreaking Content Discovery infrastructure, enabled through its Subscriber User Interface (SUI), allowing subscribers to easily and quickly discover interesting content via personalized recommendations and effective searches. Content Discovery will also help service providers drive revenues and maximize user satisfaction by increasing consumption of the limitless amount of non-premium content that can be made available to subscribers through IPTV. Orca’s SUI is uniquely designed to enhance content selection through a relatively small, transparent dashboard that does not interfere with the viewing experience.

Orca Interactive will also display its innovative technology designed to bring User Generated Content (UGC) services to television. Orca’s UGC services enable subscribers to view personal images stored on the Web on their TV, as well as create personal video clips with their photos and share them with friends and family. In addition, the company will showcase capabilities for enabling Web-originated UGC content as video-on-demand offerings, and UGC viewing recommendations that can be delivered directly to subscribers’ televisions through Orca’s content discovery infrastructure.
