Portugal to switch off analogue in April 2012
Tuesday, April 20th, 2010Portugal’s Autoridade Nacional de Comunicações (ANACOM) has approved its draft plan for the cessation of analogue terrestrial broadcasting in the country. The plan proposes April 26, 2012 as the date for the switch-off of the last analogue transmitters.
This plan was developed in consultation with PT Comunicações, RTP, SIC and TVI, and is now out for public consultation. The deadline for receipt of comments is May 18, 2010.
