Costa Rica favours ISDB-Tb for digital TV
Friday, April 30th, 2010The special commission set up by the government of Costa Rica to choose the most appropriate digital television system for the country has proposed the Japanese-Brazilian ISDB-T model to replace the current analogue system.
The commission was chaired by Hannia Vega, Deputy Minister of Telecommunications and included representatives from the Costa Rican Chamber of Information Technology (Cámara Costarricense de Tecnología de la Información – CAMTIC), public and private universities, and the Superintendency of Telecommunications (Superintendencia de telecomunicaciones – SUTEL).
