Complete tru2way Software Integrated with Open Source OCAP RI Ready to Market on Intel and Broadcom Platforms
FREMONT, Calif. — VividLogic, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of SeaChange International, Inc. (NASDAQ: SEAC), today announced availability of the VividLogic tru2way® software fully integrated with an optimized version of the OCAP™ Reference Implementation (OCAP RI) from CableLabs®. This represents the first commercially available comprehensive tru2way solution to include all of the software components necessary for a tru2way set-top box, pre-integrated with Intel® (NASDAQ:INTC) Media Processor CE Family and Broadcom (Nasdaq: BRCM) 7420 SoC.
This solution will be demonstrated in the SeaChange booth (1601) at The Cable Show 2010 in Los Angeles using a live commercial feed with conditional access and copy protection along with the OCAP guide from the local MSO. VividLogic will also demonstrate a cable gateway device connected to an assortment of DLNA client devices, providing whole home DVR as well as access to over-the-top Flash 10 and HTML 5.0 content.
“CableLabs appreciates the work of companies, such as VividLogic, that provide tru2way products based on the CableLabs OCAP Reference Implementation,” said Dr. Paul Liao, President and CEO of CableLabs. “We are pleased to see the OCAP RI strategy realized in commercial products designed for the networks of multiple service providers,” he added.
Steve Reynolds, Senior Vice President of Customer Premise Equipment, Comcast stated, “The development of commercial implementations of the OCAP RI, such as this, are important steps in our industry’s collective efforts to significantly reduce application and compliance test certification times associated with bringing new products to market.”
The VividLogic tru2way™ software integrated with the OCAP RI will be ready for CableLabs certification testing by June 2010 on both Intel and Broadcom platforms.
