MADRID – Vodafone España (London:VOD) has launched ‘Vodafone Internet TV’, a service that combines broadband, home networking and digital terrestrial television (TDT) reception.
Users are provided with a Vodafone Internet TV Centre set-top box which is able to decode both high definition and pay TV (TDT Premium) digital terrestrial channels. With the attachment of USB storage the box can also act as a personal video recorder (PVR).
The Vodafone Internet TV Centre supports video on-demand (VOD) services and TV widgets via its broadband connection, and can display other multimedia content from around the home via its USB and Wi-Fi interfaces. Home networking is facilitated by the devices’s integrated DLNA support.
