Monday, August 22nd, 2011
Creonic announces the availability of a DVB-C2 receiver IP Core for fourth quarter of 2011. After DVB-C, DVB-C2 is the second generation of digital data transmission via cable networks. It promises higher data rates and therefore HDTV quality for many channels.
The Creonic DVB-C2 IP core integrates block deinterleaver, LDPC decoder, BCH decoder and descrambler, which are elemental building blocks of the standard. Because of the integrated solution from Creonic, these building blocks match each other perfectly. Therefore the IP core achieves an outstanding efficiency with respect to throughput per area and power consumption.
