With its IRDETO SoftCell 3.11 Dual Mode CA Modules, NEOTION now supplies technology to the Austrian market
AUBAGNE — NEOTION, the French company specialising in the design and manufacture of DVB-CI & CI Plus Modules intended for pay TV operators (Broadcast and Telecommunications) now supplies technology on the Austrian market, offering its Irdeto access control modules.
The NEOTION Irdeto SoftCell 3.11 Dual Mode CA Modules provide high-security access (DVB CI and CI plus) to the Österreichischer Rundfunk (ORF) satellite TV package and to the additional services provided by the operator. This NEOTION CAM can easily be directly inserted into the CI interface present on all iDTVs and on some set-top boxes. The ORF satellite package has been operated by Österreichische Rundfunksender (ORS) since 2000 and currently has over 2.6 million subscribers.
Nicolas STEFANELLI, Irdeto Product Head at NEOTION, pointed out: “In order to optimise the finalisation of this new product, we worked jointly with the supplier of the Irdeto access control and with the operator, ORS. In fact, the NEOTION Irdeto CAM successfully passed particularly serious and stringent interoperability and resistance tests at the ORS laboratories.”
Gregory WIECZOREK, CEO of NEOTION, announced: “NEOTION will enter the Austrian market for the first time by providing our technology. The NEOTION Irdeto CI Plus Modules will be deployed in the market and will demonstrate ease of use and instant access for subscribers as well as their reliability and quality. We are proud to enter this market through a joint effort together with IRDETO and ORS”.
Marketing of the NEOTION Irdeto SoftCell 3.11 Dual Mode CI Plus modules will start in Austria at the beginning of September through a network of Austrian partners selected by NEOTION.
