Broadband CPE Units Shipments up 14% Q2'11 over Q2'10
Thursday, September 22nd, 2011SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — In 2Q11, 39.8 million broadband CPE units shipped, a 5.6% increase from the previous quarter and a 13.9% increase from the same quarter last year. Total revenues were $1.49 billion, a 3.1% decrease from the previous quarter and down 1.4% from the previous year according to new In-Stat research, Q2’11 Broadband CPE Database: By Region, Product, Technology, and Vendor.
“In terms of overall unit shipment market share growth, TP-LINK continues to gain market share growing over 20% while NETGEAR also gained that amount,” says Brad Shaffer, Analyst. “Pace and Cisco Small Business also experienced market share gains from the previous quarter.”
Additional data includes:
- SOHO (small office/home office) router unit shipments experienced a 15.7% increase from the previous quarter and a 30.6% increase from the same quarter last year.
- Residential gateway revenues were $680.0 million in Q2’11.
- Broadband router revenues were $465 million in Q2’11, nearly a 4% increase over the previous quarter and almost an 11% increase from the same quarter last year.
- Shipments of data-only cable modems decreased 6.6% from the previous quarter.
