MSTAR enters the arena of NAGRA On-Chip Security (NOCS) certified Chipsets
Thursday, September 1st, 2011HSINCHU — MStar Semiconductor (3697.TW), the worldwide leader of TV solutions, confirms it has just passed NAGRA (SIX:KUD.S) chipset certification and provides now a NOCS 1.2-ready solution.
“Working with NAGRA, the world’s leading provider of advanced security and multiscreen user experience solutions, was a great challenge for us, the level of security and expertise required was extremely high, but we did it, and we are quite proud of this achievement. This certification and the first productions confirmed that MStar strengths and leadership are not only focused on TV solutions and Free-to-Air STBs but also on an operator’s business with secure and cost effective solutions,” said Philippe Notton, DTV marketing director. “The combination of MStar’s state-of-the-art expertise in terms of broadband TV and MStar’s broadcast Pay-TV STB will be the key to MStar’s forthcoming STB growth.”
This solution is available now for mass production, and is already deployed and suitable for Standard and High Definition Set-Top Boxes, as well as for IP, Cable, Terrestrial and Satellite networks.
