DAB, the major standard of digital audio broadcasting, has been adopted in Europe for a long time. Around 3 million DAB receivers had been sold in Europe by 2006, and it is estimated that the number will rise to 6 million this year. Most OEMs and ODMs who provide DAB receivers to European markets are located in southern China. As a China-based company, Maxscend provides better local technical support to these OEMs/ODMs who in turn can offer European customers with the best DAB products. Just a few months after the latest DAB+ standard was published by ETSI in February 2007, Maxscend announced the first mature DAB+ receiver solution in the industry, featuring low cost and high performance, which attracted lots of positive responses from European customers.

Maxscend Technologies has earned a reputation for its innovative and strong design capabilities. Winning the ”Red Herring 100 Asia 2007” award recently gained the company worldwide attention. Attending the IBC, the world’s top-tier exhibition of broadcasting and media, provides Maxscend an opportunity to enter the European DAB market with the support of the latest DAB+ technology.
