OTE TV exceeds 100,000 subscribers in Greece

Hellenic Telecommunications Organization (OTE S.A.) [ASE: HTO, OTC MARKET:HLTOY], the largest telecommunications provider in the Greek market, has announced that its OTE TV subscriber base has exceeded 100,000 subscribers, as the service is steadily gaining in viewer preference and trust.

With OTE TV’s repositioning about a year ago when the satellite services were launched, viewers gained access to rich TV content, affordable prices for everyone, coverage across the country and OTE TV changed the standards in the Greek market providing consumers with more choices. The dynamic growth and increasing subscriber base of OTE TV clearly demonstrates that the service is steadily gaining ground in the Greek market. In addition, it confirms that, despite recession, Pay-TV still has considerable room for growth in our country. The dynamic growth of OTE TV’s subscriber base follows the ongoing service upgrade with new channels, advanced services and HD content. The OTE TV subscription service currently offers more than 55 thematic channels and free-to-air channels, as well as the richest HD content in the market without additional charge. Subscribers can enjoy movies and series premiering on TV, exclusive major sports events broadcasts and sports shows, documentaries, kids’ shows, music, lifestyle and news shows, at prices starting from EUR 14.90 per month. Furthermore, they have access to on demand and catch-up services for even more programs and better content control.
Exclusively for its subscribers, OTE TV will soon be enriched with extra film and sports channels as well as new services.
