Satellite subscriber numbers growing fastest in Uruguay
Wednesday, October 24th, 2012The Uruguayan communications regulator Unidad Reguladora de Servicios de Comunicaciones (URSEC) has released a survey of the telecommunications market in Uruguay up to the end of June 2012.
The number of Pay TV subscribers at mid-year was 561,268, up from 526,093 at the end of June 2011, a 6.7% increase. Over the preceding 6 months DIRECTV Uruguay grew by over 19% whilst the remainder of the market only grew by 2.9%.
