BT Vision subscribers up 40,000 to 810,000 in 1Q 2013
Friday, May 10th, 2013BT Group plc (BT.L) today announced results for its fourth quarter and year to 31 March 2013. BT added 40,000 subscribers to its BT Vision hybrid IPTV/DTT service in the UK to take the total to 810,000 at the end of the period.

In the quarter BT agreed to acquire ESPN’s UK and Ireland TV channels business. Combining this content with its existing rights will enable BT Sport customers to see live coverage of the FA Premier League, the FA Cup, Scottish Premier League, UEFA Europa League, and the top league in Germany, Italy, France, USA and Brazil. In addition to football, BT will also offer live English and French club rugby, WTA tennis and Moto GP. BT has now announced its BT Sport proposition. Launching in August, the three channels, BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2 and ESPN will show a wide variety of world-class sport and will be free with BT broadband, or £12 per month to non-BT broadband customers.
