Italy's TivùSat activates two millionth smartcard

ROME — Italian satellite TV platform TivùSat has announced that, just over four years since its launch, it now has more than 2 million active smart cards in 1.68 million households.
The regions with the highest penetration levels are Calabria, in which 14% of families have chosen TivùSat, Liguria and Molise at 13% adoption, and Valle d’Aosta (12%), Basilicata (11%) and Sicily (10%).
The pay-as-you-go satellite platform, on Eutelsat at 13° East, offers 63 channels of TV and 38 of radio.
