ALBtelecom selects Minerva Entertainment Delivery Platform

AMSTERDAM, NL — IBC — Minerva Networks, a leading provider of software solutions for the delivery of multiscreen television services, today announced that ALBtelecom, the incumbent telecommunication service provider in Albania, has selected Minerva’s Entertainment Delivery Platform to offer television services in the region.

The Minerva platform will enable the Albanian operator to offer advanced pay TV services over its broadband network. ALBtelecom will offer four bundled packages, including 50-100 TV channels and 1-8 Mbps Internet access, priced at €9-28 per month. The new offering will enable ALBtelecom to attract new subscribers and increase ARPU for existing customers.

Advanced features like catch-up TV, restart TV, pause live TV, multiscreen services, and a compelling user experience can be offered to broadband subscribers equipped with cost effective IP set-top boxes.
