COPENHAGEN — TDC Group has announced that Norway’s third largest broadband provider NexGenTel is to go live with a new IPTV platform based on TDC’s technology after the two companies signed a cooperation agreement earlier this year.
The platform is already in use by TDC, as well as its Fullrate subsidiary, covering 240,000 subscribers in Denmark.
NexGenTel has 145,000 subscribers in Norway, and is expecting a high take up of the IPTV service with these customers.
The contract between TDC Group and NextGenTel runs for five years and has a total value of 150 million Danish kroner (~$25 million).
