ADB’s GraphyneTV has a Light version

GENEVA, Switzerland — Advanced Digital Broadcast (ADB) (SIX: ADBN) today announced a “light version” of its very successful and sophisticated pay-TV software for use on multiple screens – GraphyneTV.

GraphyneTV, launched in May 2014, supports linear TV, DVR, on-demand, multi-room/multi-screen and OTT. As one of ADB´s newest products, GraphyneTV gives service providers a complete multi-screen client software solution for the delivery of linear, on-demand, OTT and other services to multiple devices. GraphyneTV enables operators to easily provide exactly the same set of services to all subscribers’ screens, reducing service development costs and easing end-user experience.

To further increase GraphyneTV´s footprint in the market, ADB has also created a light version of the software, which supports entry-level and legacy set-top boxes. “Creating GraphyneTV, we thought about a solution which will treat all type of media identically and will provide the same experience to all screens. For this purpose we are adding GraphyneTV-Light with a different portfolio of features but still under the same ecosystem,” said Corrado Rocca, SVP Global Marketing at ADB.

“A lot of providers claim ‘any content to any screen’ but ADB goes further and enhanced the user experience by making it available to all screens. Its high efficiency enables advanced services on low-cost clients. GraphyneTV-Light is easy to deploy and gives operators a low-threshold entry into a world of new and exciting business opportunities because it can be the ideal solution for smaller operations looking for flexibility to add additional functionality in the future,” said Peter Balchin, CEO at ADB.

Thanks to GraphyneTV-Light, pay-TV operators are able to provide a powerful and secure multi-screen experience for their subscribers or offer fantastic user experience on a cost-efficient platform.
