Entel nearly quintuples DTH subscribers in 2015

According to figures obtained by La Razon, the number of active subscribers to the direct-to-home satellite television service of Bolivia’s Empresa Nacional de Telecomunicaciones (Entel) almost quintupled in 2015, from 5,113 in 2014 to 24,478.

Entel broadcasts its service on Bolivia’s TKSAT-1 (Tupac Katari) satellite which provides national coverage.

In Bolivia there are currently three satellite TV operators (Entel TV, Tigo Star and Inter Satellite).
