STK TV-SAT 364 selects Ekioh SVG UI Engine for new RevoTV middleware
ŁÓDŹ, Poland — STK TV-SAT 364 has started to roll out a new IPTV service using its RevoTV platform and Ekioh’s SVG UI Engine. Using set top boxes from Arris, Albis and Infomir, the new service has already seen a large boost in customer satisfaction.
After extensive testing of existing middleware solutions, STK TV-SAT 364 decided the best way to bring fresh new features and an easier TV experience for their customers was to develop their own solution using Ekioh’s SVG rendering technology. The new platform, RevoTV, provides excellent performance with minimal use of STB processing performance.
“After extensive research, we chose Ekioh’s SVG technology as the basis for our user experience”, said Piotr Okupski, Technical Director at STK TV-SAT 364. “We are delighted with Ekioh’s support and our customers are very happy with the results.”
“Being an operator developed platform, RevoTV comprises all the features that customers want including live TV, EPG, live search, user channel profiles, meta-data for TV content, messaging, polling, shopping and advertising”, said Stephen Reeder, Commercial Director at Ekioh. “The context specific help features also ensure customers are quickly able to get the very most from the service.”
RevoTV also includes vital operator management features such as STB monitoring and tracking to provide a complete operator eco system. Now that roll out in Poland is underway, STK TV-SAT 364 will be looking at the potential of offering RevoTV to other operators.
